06Cookie statement
Two keys work without your yes. Every ad and analytics cookie waits for Allow
We buy search clicks so homeowners looking for a fence contractor in Austin TX land here. That means ad click identifiers on the URL and ad measurement tags behind a consent gate. Both are listed below, by name, with how long each one lasts.
Date and the three categories
When this version took effect
This cookie statement takes effect on 7 October 2026. It is the current version and it replaces whatever stood here before. If we add a tag, drop one, or change how long a key lives, this date moves and the table in part 02 moves with it on the same day.
The privacy notice covers the rest of what the site records — form fields, chat transcripts, server logs, retention periods. Read it next to this page: privacy, accessibility and data requests.
The categories in use, and what each does
Three, in the order of how much they need from you.
Strictly necessary
One key: the record of your cookie answer, stored under site_consent_v2. It exists so the banner stops asking on every page and so the Consent Mode v2 signals can be restored to whatever you chose when you come back. It is set whichever button you press, including Decline, because a declined choice has to be remembered to be respected. There is no way to switch this off and still have the site behave. The support chat also holds its conversation token in your browser's local storage, but only after you open the widget and send a message.
Analytics
Measurement of which pages a visitor reads before they ask for a measure — whether the cedar privacy fence section or the driveway gate section leads to more booked measurements. Blocked until you allow storage. While analytics_storage is denied, pings are cookieless and modelled and carry no identifier that reads back as you.
Advertising
Conversion measurement for the paid search campaigns that bring most of our work: knowing that a click on fence installation austin turned into a measurement booking, so we stop paying for keywords that produce nothing. Blocked until you allow storage. We do not run remarketing audiences built from people who filled in the enquiry form.
No social embeds, no video player, no font loaded from a tracker, no chat widget borrowed from a third party. The chat on this site is ours and posts to our own server.
Every cookie and storage key
Name, setter, job, lifetime
This is the whole list. If you open your browser's storage inspector on zovtira.com and find something that is not in this table, tell us and we will either explain it or remove it.
| Name | Set by | Category | What it is for | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
site_consent_v2 |
Zovtira (this site) | Strictly necessary | Stores whether you pressed Allow or Decline, so the banner does not reappear and the four consent signals are restored on your next visit. | 6 months |
zovtira_chat |
Zovtira (local storage) | Strictly necessary | The token that lets you close the tab and come back to the same support chat thread instead of starting again. | Until you clear your browser storage |
_gcl_au |
Google Ads | Advertising | Links a paid click from Google Ads to an enquiry sent from this site, so a conversion is counted once. Written only after Allow. | 90 days |
_ga and _ga_* |
Google Analytics | Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor's session from another so page reports are not nonsense. Written only after Allow. | Up to 24 months |
_uetsid |
Microsoft Advertising | Advertising | Session identifier used to attribute a Microsoft Advertising click to an enquiry. Written only after Allow. | 24 hours |
_uetvid |
Microsoft Advertising | Advertising | Visitor identifier for the same attribution across more than one visit. Written only after Allow. | 13 months |
_fbp |
Meta Platforms | Advertising | Conversion measurement where a Meta Ads campaign is running. Written only after Allow, and absent entirely when no Meta campaign is live. | 90 days |
Lifetimes are what the setter declares. A platform can shorten its own; it cannot extend it past what your browser allows.
The click identifiers in part 03 are not in this table, because they are not cookies. They ride on the end of the link and sit in the address bar, and they are only written to storage if you have allowed advertising storage.
Click identifiers and Consent Mode
The platforms, and what each attaches to a link
Paid search is how most people find a fence contractor in Austin TX, and it is how most people find us. Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising run traffic to this site now; Meta Ads may carry a campaign. Each one tags its own click:
| Parameter | Platform | What it tells them |
|---|---|---|
gclid | Google Ads | That the click Google charged us for reached the page, and which campaign and keyword it came from. |
msclkid | Microsoft Advertising | The same for a Bing or Microsoft partner click. |
fbclid | Meta Ads | The same for a click from Facebook or Instagram, where a campaign is running there. |
You can see them yourself: arrive from one of our ads and the address bar reads something like zovtira.com/?gclid= followed by a string. That string carries no name and no lot address. Strip it out of the URL and the page works exactly the same.
We never send the contents of an enquiry to an ad platform. A 160 ft horizontal fence installation austin request is a row in our own database and an email in our own inbox, nothing more.
No advertising platform has reviewed, approved or verified this site, and nothing here should be read as saying one has.
Consent Mode v2, the four signals
Consent mode runs on every page of this site, set in the head before any other script. The four signals are ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage, and they all start at denied.
- ad_storage — whether advertising identifiers may be written to or read from your device.
- ad_user_data — whether data may be sent to Google for advertising purposes.
- ad_personalization — whether you may be included in personalized advertising or remarketing.
- analytics_storage — whether analytics identifiers may be stored.
Press Allow and all four update to granted in a single call, and the advertising and analytics rows of the table in part 02 may then be written. Press Decline and all four are set back to denied and stay there. Change your mind later through Cookie settings in the footer and the new state is applied immediately, with no page reload needed.
While they are denied, Google and Microsoft tags may still receive cookieless pings so a conversion can be modelled in aggregate. Those pings hold no identifier that can be resolved to you, nothing is written to your device, and a declined visitor is never added to an audience. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the four signals are held denied for that visit without us asking again — that is covered in section 14 of the privacy notice.
Giving it, changing it, refusing it
How consent is given and where to change it
A strip appears at the bottom of the page on your first visit, with two buttons: Decline and Allow. It does not cover the page, it does not block scrolling and it does not come back as a full-screen wall if you ignore it. Ignore it and the defaults stand: all four Consent Mode v2 signals stay denied and nothing from the advertising or analytics rows is written.
Pressing Allow grants all four signals and writes site_consent_v2 with your answer. Pressing Decline writes the same key with a refusal, which is what keeps the banner from nagging you on the next page.
To change or withdraw it
- Scroll to the bottom of any page on this site and press Cookie settings in the legal row of the footer. The strip reopens with both buttons and whatever you press next replaces your earlier answer.
- Or clear cookies and site data for zovtira.com in your browser. That deletes
site_consent_v2, so the site forgets you and asks again on your next visit. - Or write to [email protected] and say you are withdrawing consent for advertising and analytics storage. We confirm it in writing.
Withdrawal takes effect from the moment you confirm it. It does not reach backwards into measurement that was already lawful while consent was in place, and it does not delete an enquiry you already sent — for that, use the data-request route in the privacy notice.
What breaks if you decline
Nothing you came here for. Decline and you can still read every page, open the spec tables, check the post depths, compare the typical per-linear-foot ranges, book a measure through the form, open the support chat and call +1 (415) 555-2801. No content is held back, no feature is paywalled behind an Allow, and the enquiry form posts exactly as it would otherwise.
What stops: _gcl_au, _ga, _uetsid, _uetvid and _fbp are not written. Advertising and analytics identifiers are not read. You are not added to any audience. We lose the ability to tell which keyword produced your enquiry, which costs us, not you.
One thing that keeps working either way is the consent record itself, because a refusal has to be stored to be honoured, and the chat token, because a conversation you opened has to be findable when you come back to it.
The platforms' own documents
Where each platform explains its own handling
Once a click identifier reaches a platform, that platform is handling the data under its own terms as well as ours. These are the documents to read:
- Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC — Google Ads and Google Analytics: policies.google.com/privacy, and the technologies list at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
- Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd — Microsoft Advertising: the Microsoft privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — Meta Ads: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Those links go off this site and we do not control what is on the other end. The list of who receives data from us, named one by one with the hosting and mail providers included, is in the privacy notice.
Asking about one specific cookie
Email [email protected] with the name of the key as your browser shows it, and the page you were on. We answer with who set it, why, and how to be rid of it — on the same 10-day clock we apply to a data request. Phone +1 (415) 555-2801 if you would rather hear it, or write to Zovtira, 40 Mill Street, Büro 5, Austin, Texas 32477, Austin, Texas, United States.
Found something on zovtira.com that is not in the table in part 02? Send it. Either it has a reason we failed to write down, or it should not be there.

Line posts go 24 inches down. Gate posts go 36. Tell us the run length and the height and we will come out with a tape and write the post count, the bag count and the date before anyone digs.
